Email Lists

Can I rent or buy an email list to use with the ActiveTrail service? No. ActiveTrail can only be used with email lists for which you have permission to communicate with. Please read our Anti-Spam policy.

What happens to my list after I upload it to ActiveTrail?
Your list is safe behind our heavily secured firewalls. It will reside in your ActiveTrail Account until you remove it. ActiveTrail will never rent, share or sell your list. For more details read our Privacy Policy.

How do I get my list imported to my ActiveTrail Account?
ActiveTrail will accept your email addresses in 2 file formats; CSV (Comma Separated Values) and .xls (MS Excel Spreadsheet). Simply browse to where the file resides on your computer and let the ActiveTrail Wizard guide you through the import.

Can I integrate my database or CRM directly with ActiveTrail?
Yes. ActiveTrail provides access to a wide range of webservices and APIs that easily and seamlessly integrate your database, CRM, BI or any other legacy system directly to all its functionality. You can actually perform any action without accessing ActiveTrail via the web. Subscribe users, update their details, create an email, send it to a list, receive raw data for analysis and much more…

What if I don't have an email list?
No Problem. It's time to get started! There are several ways you can collect email addresses. ActiveTrail provides a list building tool in the form of a Sign-Up Box to be placed on your website. Your site visitors can sign up for your email list, and their addresses are automatically imported to your ActiveTrail Account.

Pricing

How does pricing work?

Do I have to sign a contract to use ActiveTrail?
Yes. Our contract includes our Pricing Agreement and our Terms of Service to which you should agree.

Creating Emails

Do I need to know HTML to create an email campaign?
Absolutely not! You will be able to create attractive, professionally-designed HTML campaigns easily by transferring your content to the ActiveTrail WYSIWYG Wizard (complete with templates). You can also independently design/create emails, and upload them to the system for effective delivery to your email list recipients.

What does ActiveTrail do to make sure my emails get delivered?

Campaign Reporting

Can I see who opens my email campaigns?
Yes, you can see the email addresses of who opened your emails and when, as well as the list of clicks on any specific link/s within your emails. You also have the ability to export the "open" or "click-through" data to Excel or CSV. There are many additional reports that you can make use of to learn more about your campaigns and user behavior.

Does ActiveTrail give me any information on the bounced emails? Yes! ActiveTrail has a Bounce Management Feature that allows you to see which addresses bounced and for what reasons. Additionally, it will allow you to export those addresses for easy bounce management of your lists.
